Levi's Style - Baby Boy Fall Outfits

Fall is officially here (oh how I've missed the rain!) and it's time to box up our summer outfits and make room for fall clothes. Most of my kids' clothes are hand me downs, items I've received as gifts through my local Buy Nothing group, but at the beginning of every season, a few basic staples are usually missing. And let's be real, I enjoy clothes shopping for the kids, especially when it's only a few additional things I need and I can spend a few extra dollars on quality items that will last a while.

Let's start with Levi's closet and some of our baby boy fall styles.

Everyday Style

Onesies. I'm not picky when it comes to basic bodysuits, as long as they're basic, ha ha. Multi-packs from Carter's, Target, KOHL's, H&M, and Burt's Bees are all great options and hand me downs are really easy to find.

Pants. Pants are tricky for my kids, because they all tend to have big bellies and a lot of baby clothes are made for tall skinny babies. For that reason, I like skinny legs so I can size up and roll up legs. I stocked up on 3/4 pants for Ava this summer - the perfect full length for her in 4T (Yes, she isn't even two yet!). I love the idea of footed pants, but they're always way to long for my kids when they fit around the waist. I like PACT (though I haven't yet tried the new collection they just launched), H&M, and l'ovedbaby.

Sweaters. There are tons of cute baby sweaters out there, but they're not always the most practical, often being too bulky for a small baby. I like simple cardigans (H&M or Amazon), hoodies that are longer so the back isn't easily exposed, like the l'ovedbaby one below (#1). Wool layers aren't cheap, but fantastic for fall and winter - they keep super warm without being bulky at all. You can find them on Amazon, see link below, I just asked my mom to bring me one from Germany, lucky me.

Outdoor Style

Hats. Baby hats are so adorable and can complete an outfit especially when babywearing. I like them to be cute but also functional (warm, not bulky, fitting). Levi is currently rocking either a Hanna Andersson or a PACT hat. Later in the fall or for newborns, wool hats are an excellent choice.

Overall & Rain Gear. Levi doesn't have one yet (I had borrowed one for Noah and Ava), but buntings are so easy to take on and off and keep babies warm during fall and winter - in the stroller or the baby carrier, so I'm definitely investing in one this fall. I have my eyes on a Columbia one and will check the Outlet Mall this week. Below are some options. When we go on walks, Levi is almost always in the Ergo, and while a bit of rainy drizzle doesn't bother me, I want Levi to stay dry and warm. There are rain covers available, see below, but I think I'll make a DIY version this year by simply putting the arms of a kids rain coat on the straps of my Ergo so I can pull up the hood over Levi's head.

Stay tuned for Ava's and Noah's style this fall.
