Thanks for Helping me Grow Teacher Gift

Last week was teacher appreciation week at the kids' daycare. I don't normally care too much about days where you're supposed to give presents (I'd rather get a "thanks for everything you do" on a random day than when society tells us to), but at the same time it's a nice occasion and a good reminder to say 'thank you' every once in a while.

I had planned to make cards and get gift cards last weekend, but then both kids ended up being sick, so we didn't get anything done. I felt bad all week, but then decided - who cares! a thank you gift will still mean just as much a week later. It's about showing appreciation and not meeting a gift giving deadline, right? Or so I hope...

So yesterday morning (can you believe all of this happened before 8 am?) I decided to make little presents and cards for the kids' main teachers. I couldn't get Noah to be excited about making the plants, but he helped me make cards in which I wrote - you guessed it - thanks for helping me grow

I already had the containers at home and we have plenty of succulents growing along a rock wall by our house. So easy and so cute that I decided to make another one for myself today. Happy mother's day to me.

Now back to bed to enjoy some baby snuggles while the boys do yard work outside and then a shopping trip to the mall. Sounds like the perfect Sunday to me. Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend.
