I pride myself in not lugging around a huge diaper bag everywhere I go with a 2 1/2 year old and a 3 month old. There are really only a few necessities I need for me and the kids and I love that I can make it all fit in a normal purse even though I typically carry it all in my small Eddie Bauer backpack. It helps to have two free hands when you have a toddler running around and a baby strapped to you in a baby carrier. Plus, it looks good on Tony too :)
So, here's what's in my bag:
That's it! Not pictured: a water bottle for Noah and I, a pacifier, diapers (size 2 and 5), and wipes. Also always with me: my Ergo and/or Moby wrap.
All you other moms and dads out there, what's in your bag?
I've always wondered what mothers carry in their diaper bags! Thanks for sharing your list. Is your carry load smaller because you breastfeed? (I imagine bottles, thermos, formula, etc would take up a lot of space.) Do you ever carry extra clothes for yourself?
ReplyDeleteI agree that that's definitely one of the benefits of breastfeeding. You always have everything you need right with you.
ReplyDeleteAnd no, I never carry extra clothes for myself. Both kids have spit up on very rare occasions only (one being Thanksgiving; maybe I should have brought a spare outfit then...).
I do sometimes bring extra clothes for Noah too but usually leave them in the car: when we go to a park with a lake and to the children's museum where kids can play with water.
Thanks for your comment! :)
